Bloosh
On capitalism, consumption, and the permission slips we didn't ask for. Named by Parks and Rec. Written for everyone who bought the thing anyway.
This is the lifestyle blog I never wanted to write and can't stop thinking about. The tchotchkes you loved until you had more tchotchkes than shelves. The next thing you need to buy to finally feel like you have it together. The housekeeper and the gardener you now need to afford because you're working so hard to afford them. The small businesses quietly disappearing, bought out or priced out, replaced by something shinier and emptier. The machine doesn't hate you. It just needs you wanting. Bloosh is me noticing the machine, from the inside, because I live here too and I can't always tell where my desires end and the marketing begins
